We would love to hear about your day at Alpine Adventures, Inc.

Hello to all at Alpine from the Layton ’s. This past winter 2012 was our second trip to the ranch for a dog sledding adventure. We usually bring a relative who has never experienced the thrill of dog sledding so they can mush and be mushed! The quiet and beauty of the trails is definitely a break from an office world. We might be back in 2013 and most likely will connect with the wonderful staff there again. Part of the fun is the ride from Avon . This year we had Jerry and he was a lot of fun and spoke most of the way about the facts of the different areas we were travelling trough to get to the Ranch. I hope Jerry is available if we go again. Remember to tip your driver and also the guide. Have fun and stay warm.
I have wanted to write you all since we visited in January and let the other things that take over one’s life get in the way. Today, in the midst of conference calls and computer e-jail I started thinking of our time at Alpine Adventures and decided it was time to share the experience my wife and I had with your pups and team! First, WOW.. What an experience! We truthfully had a hard time deciding between dog sledding and snowmobiling. We finally settled on dog sledding because it is the type of experience very few people will ever have the opportunity to do. It turns out that was absolutely the right call. We travel frequently and is ranked among our favorites for things we’ve done on a vacation. We arrived, suited up (thank you for providing the bibs by the way), and then we got to meet our team. Our guide did a great job of introducing us to each of the pups and was gracious enough to let us take pictures. Before we arrived, I was worried we were making the dogs run for us. I could not believe how eager the dogs were to run. It was clear they lived for and loved pulling the sled and we were just the excuse they needed to get out and have fun. Knowing they were excited about the run made us anticipate the start even more. We decided to pay a little more and go tag sled, which I highly recommend because once you get going you are going to want to relished every second of the time you are out there. To have nothing but you and the dogs running was worth every penny. Our guide was outstanding. He had one of us ride in the basket and one on the back sled at first. Once we got the handle of the sled (particularly the leaning into turns) we switched up so that everyone had a chance to mush and ride in the basket. The hour was well balanced between the thrill of the dogs taking off from a stop, steer the runs, and taking in the beauty of the bowl where you are located. Thanks for helping make our vacation a memorable one. Oh yeah.. and tell the dogs I said “Go-Go-Go-Go-Goooooooooo!” We’ll be back next time we are in Colorado!

p.s. – I wound up snowmobiling a couple months later. That was also a lot of fun. Given the opportunity I would do them both again, but if I had to decide I’d do the dog sledding every time. The paws moving, dogs barking from excitement, and the ability to share the experience are hard to beat!
We wanted to thank you for giving our nieces Haylea and Hannah in their words, “the best spring break adventure ever”. Pam and I also enjoyed the outing very much. Haylea and Hannah wore their new tee shirts to bed and said the were going to wear them to school Monday even if they were dirty!
Thanks again, Pam and Jim Dunn
Hi Alpine Adventures, we both just wanted to say a big thank you for our wonderful afternoon we spent with you last Wednesday 9th March. It’s an experience that we will remember forever. Special thanks to Jason who was ‘Top Dog’ and I also have a tee shirt to remember all the dogs names. Safely back in the UKy

Hello Stacy from the Laytons. We had a wonderful time during our visit on December 12th. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable – we had a blast with her. My wife and I have been showing pictures from that day and talking about it was the most memorable portion of our vacation. That is good considering we were there less than two hours – two exciting and fun hours!!
My husband and I had such a wonderful time dog sledding Tues., Feb 1, 2011. We opted for the tagsled. We each ‘drove’ the back sled, and later we drove both sleds while our guide ‘rested’.
We especially loved meeting the dogs and seeing how much they love work!
For both of us, our sledding experience was the highlight of our ski vacation. Nice, peaceful, but exciting.
Just got back from the most wonderful experience EVER! Dog sledding at Alpine Adventures…I can hardly describe the wonder and beauty of the landscape, the sound of the excited dogs ready to get out there and just RUN! The staff was friendly, helpful and informative….we enjoyed hearing about the dogs from the lady in the office while we got ready, everyone we met obviously loves working with the dogs (and people!)
Even though it is pretty cold out there and the wind blew snow sideways a few times, it was awe-inspiring to see the mountains and have such such lovely creatures doing what they love best.
We were introduced to each dog on the team and I got to love and pet them all. Each one has such personality; my favorites were Rohn and Dancer. Being cuddled up in the sled as passenger was fun, but actually getting to mush with the guide; I wanted it to last forever. Giving the dogs their ‘meat soup’ when they got back was so much fun too…it was hard to say goodbye to them.
Thank you so much, everyone at Alpine Adventures, it was an experience I will never forget. Hopefully we will get a chance to come back again.
Thank you, love and hugs to the dogs, Adrienne Honeycombs
We just were dogsledding with you on January 20,2011….it was a blast. Patrick was our guide and he was just fantastic. Thought we would send some pictures, there are more to come just have to download them! Thanks for a unforgettable experience!
I wanted to drop you a line to share our experience at your facility. I know you see a lot of people but to refresh your memory we were the 2 guys that took the tag sled tour from Alabama. a couple of weeks ago.
I have to say that this was one of the best experiences of my life. It was certainly a wonderful tour. Patrick our guy was very friendly, knowledgeable and just an over all joy to be with. Your staff was bar none some of the best people I have met. I will definitely be seeing you again for another tour and would recommend your facility to anyone looking for a GREAT! adventure.
Thank you so much for letting me check one more item off my bucket list. Here are a few pictures that were taken along our trip.
Thank you again so much G Wittlock
“Wow! The dogs, the sleds, the friendly guides, and the phenomenal scenery all combined for a tremendous life experience. Definitely our family’s all-time favorite activity on our recent vacation.”

“Thank you so much for making our dog sledding adventure such a memorable and rewarding experience for our entire party. Everyone at Alpine Adventures made a huge effort to accommodate our special-needs son, who had an absolute ball. Our guide, Cheyenne, was both personable and knowledgeable as he explained not only your operations but dog sledding in general. The day was beautiful and we got some terrific photos with the family, the dogs, and the gorgeous mountains in the background. From all of us, we very much appreciate it and hope to be back next winter!”
“I want to thank you for the wonderful experience my brother, sister-in-law, Barbara, and I had dogsledding. The enthusiasm and information provided to me when I first called Alpine Adventures made me decide on using your company. Your staff was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Your staff accommodated us so that we could go out as our own group, instead of adding two other people. This also gave us more time on the slds and with the dogs. Things were well organized and everyone working with you was so nice and really made the experience fun. The dogs were amazing and our guide was just great! Having such great weather made the adventure even better. We highly recommend Alpine Adventures to anyone who visits your area. Thanks again and have a wonderful Spring/Summer.”
