Our goal at Alpine is to offer enjoyable winter activities for customers of all ages while letting you fully participate in a hands-on atmosphere. Our dogsled tours give you the opportunity to drive a dogsled and have hands-on experience with the dogs instead of just driving the sled for you. We work to offer you more time with your guide and the dogs and cover more miles per tour than the competition.
1-Hour GROUP Tour
Tours run everyday all season!
Distance covered: 5 miles
$70 ea/Ages 9 & up $35/kids 3-8 years
- There are six seats per dogsled tour. Two people ride on the dogsled at a time while the other guests ride on a sleigh that is pulled by the guide on a snowmobile. Periodically, we stop and switch drivers and riders.
- We have multiple dogsled departure times to suit your needs.
- Do you want your family to have the dogsled to yourselves? You can reserve the entire dogsled by purchasing any empty seats at adult price.
- You will be with your guide for 1 hour and 20 minutes from start to finish and on the trail for one hour.
- Tours depart between 8:45 am-3:30 pm daily

1-Hour TAGSLED Tour
Tours run everyday all season!
Distance covered: 5 miles 1-4 people (600#) per sled
$140 each/Ages 8 & up $70 each/Kids Ages 3-7
- GOT DOGS? This tour accommodates 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children per sled without a snowmobile.
- Two dogsleds are pulled by a larger group of 10-12 dogs. The guide is on the front dogsled with up to 2 riders and the second dogsled will have one person driving and one person riding. As you get out onto the trails, you have the opportunity to drive, ride and control a larger team. This tour is completely dog powered and whenever the sleds are moving everyone is on board this peaceful, serene tour with your guide. This is a great way to dogsled, but have the guide with you to help control the dog team. Plus, you get to play with more dogs!
- Up to 4 tagsleds run each hour to accommodate larger groups.
- You will be with your guide for 1 hour and 20 minutes from start to finish and on the trails for one hour.

2-Hour Dogsled Tour
January 15 – March 15 Only!
Distance covered: 10 miles 1-3 people (700# max)/per sled
$210 each/Ages 8 & Up $105 each/Kids 3-7
- There is nothing more enjoyable than mushing through the high country with a dog team in the pristine mountain air! Your expert guide will lead you on this authentic mushing trip where you will learn about dogsledding and participate in this wilderness mountain adventure.
- Perfect for the dog lover who wants to learn more than the basics about dogsledding. We put you to work on this tour! Your guide will teach you how to hook up the dogs and more! You can participate to your heart’s content!
- Enjoy a peaceful ride on a private trail out to a secluded, mountain tent for some hot chocolate and great conversation. After your hot chocolate stop, pull up the anchors and dogsled back to base camp. This is sure to be a memorable event!
- Up to 6 individual dog teams will be running together and will take breaks at the same time on the trail.
- You will be with your guide for 2 hours and 15 minutes from start to finish and on the trails for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
- Available at 12:45 pm, drive up only.
